There are several good pubs with eating facilities within a 5 mile radius of the cottage and the Brunant Arms in Caio village is within walking distance, serves good home-cooked food and is happy to take well-behaved dogs too! There is a wealth of country walks in the area including nearby Caio and Brechfa Forests which caters for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Carmarthenshire is also renowned for its castles and there are lots to explore within the area.
