Holiday Rental House
The Bolthole is a delightful, refurbished single storey cottage located in the heart of the pretty coastal village of Winterton-on-sea. In walking distance of the beach, local shops and the pub, the cottage is also easily accessible to the Norfolk Broads. It offers a great base for a beach holiday, walking in the dunes or watching the seals. With one double and one twin bedroom The Bolthole is suitable for couples or families and well behaved dogs are welcome however we would appreciate them being kept off the furniture. The cottage is entirely no smoking. The cottage has a shower room, is centrally heated and boasts a comfortable open plan lounge/diner with a wood burning stove, TV, DVD, CD, and iPod/smartphone doc. Wi-Fi is also included at no extra cost. Interaction with guests
My daughter and I run the cottage as a little venture but we live and work in Norwich so whilst every attempt is made to be available to you during your stay please do bear in mind we are not based in the village. Do email us or call us and we will respond as soon as we can. You will receive a full email with details of arrival information, key codes and what is in the cottage approximately one week before your arrival. Have a lovely holiday!

This is a well presented and equipt property but let down by some basic requirments. A small shelf in the shower and a loo roll holder would be nice. The double bed needs burning! If you are over 14 stone it is not for you....More

About the neighbourhood
The pretty historic village of Winterton on Sea is located just to the south of the Winterton Nature Reserve area of the east coast. The village is separated from the coastline by extensive sand dunes which are excellent for walkers, and very popular with both local people and visitors who take their dogs for long walks there. The beach is excellent for people of all ages and the cosy 'Dunes Cafe' offers drinks and snacks throughout the day. It is a well known area for birdwatching and there is a protected tern-breeding sanctuary within the Reserve which has been very successful in increasing the number of terns visiting the area. Further areas renowned for birdwatching stretch all round the northern coast. Just up the coast at Horsey is a well established seal colony, again protected ...
