Named in celebration of Amelia Earhart, who in 1928 became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic landing in Burry Port.

Amelia Cottage has bags of character, is comfortably furnished and well equipped for your stay.

Off street parking for up to 3 cars with gated access to patio & the sun trap lawned rear garden.

A stones throw from Burry Port centre shops, pubs, restaurants + railway station with the marina, harbour, lighthouse and town beaches just beyond.

Bring your bikes and make use of the fantastic Millennium Coastal Park ( + cycle track) which runs through the harbour.

For visitors with young children - a new fully equipped playground has been installed in the park just around the corner.

This is a lovely cottage which has been sympathetically renovated and the added decor and artefacts such as the clocks and pictures add to the character. there is a lovely long garden which was full of surprises and the highlight for Poppy, our 13 year...More

Amelia Cottage is available to new visitors from 3pm onwards on day of arrival. Departure is BY 11am on the final morning of your stay.

There is a £100 refundable security deposit which is retained by Holiday Lettings and returned to you after your stay. We are small and medium sized dog friendly - a small surcharge of £10 per dog per visit - pets restricted to the ground floor kitchen/dining and sitting room areas.

The golden sandy beaches either side of Burry Port harbour area few minutes walk from Amelia Cottage. The 7 mile stretch of beach at Cefn Sidan & Pembrey Country Park is a 5 minute drive. The spectacular beaches, bays and coastline of the Gower Peninsular across the Lougher Estuary are just 30 - 40 minutes. Laugharne, where Dylan Thomas lived with his family and the Pembrokeshire coastline beyond area an hour+.
