Fully reformed without ripping the traditional heart out, this get-away offers plenty of space inside and out for 6 people, sleeping in 3 double rooms, all of which are en suite. For outside space the house has a terrace or balcony on every floor, none of which are overlooked so you have total privacy along with your own slice of the lake view. The decor is carefully considered to reflect the rural beauty and style of Southern Spain whilst reflecting some of the owner's taste. The ground floor offers lounge, dining and kitchen facilities which then open onto a dining terrace. The first floor has 2 double en suite bedrooms, one of which has its own terrace, and the top floor the master suite, also with its own shower room and terrace. Then back down into the basement you'll find a wonderful cool 'summer' lounge fully kitted out with built in sofas, TV and separate bar area with its own fridge for that cold beer and wine storage – essential!. The summer lounge leads onto the largest of the lake view terraces. The house is perfectly situated in the historic village of Iznajar, great access for bars and restaurants within walking distance, or a cool stroll through the narrow streets in the heat of the day. An added bonus over country properties is that the location means you are able to walk out of the front door be in the hub of the village with many bars, average price is €1.50 for a drink and tapa, and less for a good coffee. There are 3 butchers, a bakery, and several small grocers with lovely fresh veg a lot of it grown locally. The baker passes by and toots his horn at 10 every morning for a selection of fresh bread delivered to your door. Of course the house is ideally situated for some of the best sightseeing in the world. Cordoba, Seville, Granada and Malaga are all possible as day trips. There are also lots of lesser known but equally charming white pueblos to explore too. The lake offers swimming from its own sandy beach plus a range of water sports and restaurants. There is also a public pool nearby, open in peak summer months, with a children's play and padding area and a snack bar. We occasionally visit Marbella for the day for a swim in the sea; it's all possible and accessible. Details on available activities will be sent to you once you have booked. .
