Gite Beauvais is a beautiful classic French farm house renovated to a very high standard, set in 2.5 acres of garden. The property is situated in a small hamlet surrounded by acres of well-tended arable land, the many farm tracks between the fields are ideal for some lovely walks (about an hour to the nearest bar/restaurant) especially if you have dogs. The ground floor of the property is all on one level and therefore suitable for wheelchair users. Please contact us for more details. We live next door to Gite Beauvais and can assist with any problems you may incur, quickly and efficiently. Diving is not permitted in the pool. 260m2 terraced/decked area and enclosed gardens ideal for a game of football, cricket or rounders. Recent reviews through HFD.......... Review 20/08/18 average score 10 What a wonderful holiday home. Pool, house, facilities, cleanliness - everything is all you could wish for. The house is in a quiet location - but this did not affect us at all. The kids loved the bike ride to the local boilangeries in the mornings. The pool and outdoor area are amazing. Plenty of things do to around. Niort, La Eochelle and Ile de Re were among our favourites. We were met by Sarah, the owner, who was very helpful and friendly, it was also not a problem to contact her during the week. A fabulous holiday. Children’s ages range from 11 to 16 and there was not one “I’m bored”. An all round winner. I would recommend to everyone. Review 28/08/18 average score 10 Where do i start about this wonderful place.... The accommodation is spacious , clean and not like any rental you will find. The bedrooms are beautiful and on arrival hard to decide which one to have as they are all equally nice. Bathroom are equipped and decorated to a high standard as is the whole house. In the kitchen you will find everything you will ever need and there is plenty of cutlery, pot and pans etc. There wasn't one single thing that i though "oh wish i had that "... The living quarters downstairs is extremely comfortable and the games room is kitted out with everything .. You will never get bored if the weather is bad. Then we come to the outside space again this was just the cherry on the cake - lots of space and a great bbq area - we ate outside every evening even when it was slightly cooler. The pool was crystal clear and is huge.. To top all this your back garden is acres of greenery and your neighbours are 7 beautiful horses. This really is an amazing find and Sarah and Tom are the nicest people you will ever come across ... If you book this Gite believe me you will not be disappointed as we are extremely fussy and this place just ticks all the boxes... Thank you Sarah and Tom for letting us have your home for the week you can see you have put in a lot of hard work and you should be very proud xx Ferry discounts availiable There is a wealth of places to go and see in and around the Vendee/Deux Sevres regions; beautiful beaches on the west coast (1.25 hours), the abbey and bar/restaurant in Nieul sur l’autize (10 mins), pretty town of Coulon in the Marais Poitevin (15mins), ancient abbey at Maillezais (10mins), futurascope in Poitiers(1.25 hours), the lovely market towns of Niort (15 mins) and Fontenay Le Comte (15 mins) to explore, a zoo,children’s adventure park and forest at Mervant (15 mins), a lake with a beach at chassenon LE bourg (10 mins), O’gliss water park in Le Bernard (1hour), Indian Forest in Moutiers (1 hour), Puy de Fou the spectacular historical theme park (1.25 hours) or just relax by the pool at home.
