About the neighbourhood
With the ability to walk anywhere as long as there is no crop or fencing, you are free to discover rolling hills and deep valleys, which in the spring time are covered in wild flowers of every colour.
The Natural Parque has amazingly diverse wildlife, ranging from more than 200 bird species to wild boar. In early summer, you can see the nests of storks and brilliantly plumaged bee-eaters; In late September and October Sagres becomes a strategic position from which to experience the extensive Autumn migration.
Throughout the year you can take a trip to harbour to watch the catch come in - huge fish with eyes as big as saucers, octopus with their slowly unfurling tentacles and perhaps a small shark from far out at sea
