The Acorns is situated within the statutory Forest of Dean in Joyford, set within its own grounds of 10 acres, surrounded by farmland and woodland with direct access to the Forest. It is a scenic, tranquil location accessed from a single track no through lane but surprisingly centrally located for exploring the Forest and surrounding areas. There is a very good pub within 5 minutes walk, a shop / Post Office and Chinese takeaway 0.4 miles away and the nearest town with all amenities is Coleford, 2 miles away. The property is two storey with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The main bedroom is a double and the second bedroom is a family room with a double bed and a bunk bed. Excellent directions from Sarah (best if you ignore the sat nav for the last 5 miles!) and a very homely well equipped house which is perfect for dogs and children with the enclosed courtyard and garden. Some welcome provisions were a very nice surprise.Farm surroundings...More

Nice holiday stay, Sarah nice and helpful, everything that's needed there for your needs! Good area for the Forest of Dean. only draw back i'm sorry was the squeaky floorboards! not good but wouldn't put me of.

Great local pub, the dog & muffler. Just a five minute walk from the house. Beautiful countryside & local attractions. We went caving at Clearwell Caves & exploring in the Forest of Dean. The farm house was lovely, clean & tidy but not overly fussy...More

The main bedroom has a super-king size bed, there is an en-suite WC / wash basin in this room. This room has stunning far reaching views as far as The Malverns from windows on 3 aspects. The family room has a double bed and full size bunk beds, a spacious room with plenty of storage space and beautiful views of the forest. The bathroom has a short cut and sit bath with shower above, WC and wash basin. There is an airing cupboard upstairs for drying wet clothes and shoes. The log burner in the lounge is available for use at any time and paper, kindling, wood and coal are provided.
