Warm in winter, ideal for short breaks for walkers, cyclists or for a family Christmas, but with its decked verandas and proximity to the seaside, it is also perfect for a 'bucket & spade' family holiday. Beautifully situated, it is perfect for catching the sun all day, or watching the sun set over the Galloway hills. And only 10 minutes stroll from the village, which has pubs serving good food, coffees and drinks and coastal walks over National Trust lands to the adjoining village, Rockcliffe, and with stunning views to islands in the bay. Clean, comfortable, spacious, warm, equipped with everything you could possibly need for a top-notch holiday. Delightful setting too, with plenty of wildlife around, lovely walks and the picturesque village of Kippford a stroll away for waterside pubs, cafes and great ice cream. Recommend a trip...More

Dogs welcome - additional £25 per dog/per week/£20 per short break. Please specify when asking for a quote if you want to bring a dog.

Kippford is just off the A710.
Buses from Kippford (stand anywhere, put arm out to ask bus to stop) to/from Dalbeattie, or other direction to Sandyhills, Rockcliffe, New Abbey, Dumfries on shore road. Dalbeattie is hub to catch buses further on e.g. to Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright, faster route to Dumfries but note, buses only every 2 hours from Kippford during day.
