Holiday Rental House
This is very much an ancient farmhouse which is 'home' and is so comfortable and relaxing. Loads of space to part your cars safely, a beautiful garden to wander in. Plenty of room in the house for everyone, games to play and a private pool to swim and to relax under the shade of the Catalpa tree. Situated just 20 minutes from the Paris Toulouse motorway you are in the middle of the country but close to amenities. The pretty village of St. Benoit du Sault is just a few minutes down the road. Here you can wander round the medieval streets in this very unspoilt village. You can also visit the large supermarket for everything you need plus smaller shops in the ancient town. The countryside around offers loads of great bridle-paths, streams, rivers and woods. The countryside around offers loads of great bridle-paths, streams, rivers and woods. The bird song, the fields with sheep and cows, the tranquillity is deep and unforgettable. The village of Chaillac at about 7km also has a fabulous lake (with security) - also you will find a couple of restaurants in the village which are friendly and very well priced. Snacks are available at the lake too as well as a playing area for children. Bring your mountain bikes, road bikes - there are traffic free roads and paths to explore - deep shade and brilliant sunshine. (Local rentals available) Not far away is the Lac de Chambon where you can picnic, water-surf, sail, swim and dive - it is never over-crowded and has some great restaurants and cafes to enjoy. If you plan to come during the Winter months or for Christmas and New Year you will find a magnificent open fire in the sitting room and central heating throughout the property making it really cost and relaxing. Interaction with guests
You will invariably be met on your arrival and shown the ropes. However, if you prefer to have a more flexible arrival time then we will arrange to leave the keys somewhere where you can find them and let yourselves in. Brigitte is the manager and speaks english and french - you will have her full contact details so that you can get in touch with any questions. Martyn looks after the garden and the pool - he comes once a week to mow the lawns when they need it and to clean the pool. When you arrive you will find a folder full of information giving you an idea of all the activities that are available in the area.

About the neighbourhood
This is a very beautiful part of France and largely unexplored with the feeling of history all around with the stone architecture and hidden chateaux that are dotted around. An area full of waterways, streams and lakes. There is plenty of boating, fishing and water-sports to be found locally and slightly further afield is the magnificent Lac d'Eguzon which is well worth a days outing. The small medieval town of St. Benoit du Sault is right on your doorstep with its winding streets, Chateau and small shops. It is named as one of the 'Plus Beaux Villages de France' and remains an unspoilt joy to wander in. If your keen on cycling bring your bikes as you will find it the most relaxing area to explore with hardly any traffic to worry you.
Getting around
To fully enjoy the area you will need to have a car. However, as said earlier cycling is wonderful and if you prefer not to bring your own bikes I can arrange it with a rental company locally. There is also a local taxi company both in Roussines and in St. Benoit du Sault
