BRISA HERMOSA It’s easy to get swept away at Brisa Hermosa. This 4-bedroom luxury vacation villa has it all. The sightlines, with deep jungle canopy to the north and the swirling Pacific Ocean to the west, encompass the complete beauty that is Costa Rica. The outdoor setup is superb, with tables, chairs, and loungers blending in perfectly with idyllic foliage throughout the grounds. Furthermore, the swimming pool is large enough to do laps in but also has a shallow section that’s great for kids and slightly-submerged adults. Bright birds regularly buzz through the airspace above the house, and monkeys can be spotted swinging in the vines at any time. All that and convenience, too, as the towns of Uvita (10 minutes south) and Dominical (20 minutes north) are both a quick trip by car. Furthermore, the swimming pool is large enough to do laps in but also has a shallow section that’s great for kids and slightly-submerged adults. Bright birds regularly buzz through the airspace above the house, and monkeys can be spotted swinging in the vines at any time. All that and convenience, too, as the towns of Uvita (10 minutes south) and Dominical (20 minutes north) are both a quick trip by car. From the front door at Hermosa Brisa, the nearest beach access is less than a 5-minute drive away at Punta Achiote, a tucked-in cove at the end of a long, empty stretch of sand that’s popular with the local surfing set. So, basically what we have here is an ideal vacation rental setup for groups of 8 guests or fewer that enjoy a nice mix of outdoor living space, privacy and convenience to local beaches and towns. There are approximately 40 different places to eat, drink and be merry within a half-hour drive of Brisa Hermosa. Most of the tour offices -- river rafting, surfing, kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, horseback riding, and waterfall rappelling -- are even closer than that. Brisa Hermosa features a fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances -- including a dishwasher -- and sparkling new granite throughout. There is a dining table with seating for 8 guests and a pair of sofas in the living area. The villa also has washer and dryer units, as well as wireless internet throughout. There is a pair of bedrooms on the main floor of the house. Both have en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning units. One of the bedrooms features two single beds that can be pushed together to form a larger mattress. The other bedroom downstairs has a king bed. The master bedroom is located upstairs and features an en-suite bathroom with a soaking tub, king bed, AC unit, walk-in closet and an incredible patio area with awesome valley-to-sea views. This patio is probably the best place in the house to sip coffee while listening to the howler monkeys make their morning mating calls. The fourth bedroom is out by the pool. It also has a king mattress, en-suite bathroom, and AC unit. Again, the views from this bedroom are so cool with all of the glass windows and doors. You can watch the sunrise, sunset and lightning strikes at night without even lifting a leg off the bed. And when you’re ready to take a dip in the swimming pool or fire up the barbecue, it’s right outside the front door. That’s called winning. With all of the outdoor space, including 6 layout lounge chairs and multiple places to serve food and drinks by the pool and main house, you and your guests will never feel cramped up at Hermosa Brisa.
