Exactly what I was longing for!
We delighted in the house, the pool, the surroundings the VIEW of Seggiano across the valley. Our hosts were so kind and helpful and we really felt like guests rather than customers. I am a full time care-giver to my 89 year old mother and I needed such peace and beauty to re-charge my batteries for the next season of meeting her needs. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful spot to do just that. The kitchen was well-equipped and we cooked several of our own meals (the frig was quite small for such a large apartment but we were told there would be a large one installed soon). We experienced quite a heat wave whilst there and thankfully there were electric fans in each bedroom. The pool is a delight with everything you need right there. A critique if I may give one, which is hard to do because the owners are so dang sweet, but the sheets on the bed and the bath towels were quite scratchy. I would not let that deter me from a second stay which I do plan on making! Bring a GPS because you have to drive through quite a few winding country roads and hilltop villages. Day trips to Siena, the seaside or Montepulciano (DO go there) are easily do-able. On Amiata Mountain you can do zip lining among other things. All in all, our family vacation, a decade long dream, was absolutely wonderful! Can't wait to return!
