Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Cornwall stay
Beautiful cottage with lovely beaches close by and Falmouth town. St Ives was not a 45 minute drive. Free 24 hour parking 30 seconds from the cottage. Fantastic host with great communication throughout. A lovely gesture of a welcoming goodie pack. Also super dog friendly my pooch loved his first holiday :) Will definitely go back again :)

Super place to stay in the centre of Penryn
We loved it. Simon was very good at communicating and was flexible with timings for our arrival. The little house was welcoming, very clean, bright, modern and perfect for the short stay that we had. Although the front door is straight on to a narrow street, once inside, the street didn't impact on our enjoyment of the house. The small but pleasant yard at the back was a bonus for our golden retriever and I can imagine that in the summer, would be a good place to sit out. Towels and linen provided was clean and good quality and the kitchen was well kitted out. There is an excellent tv etc, though we didn't find any instructions; our son was quick to work it out. The double bed was comfortable, and the sofa bed was fine. The house is within easy walking distance from a convenience store, post office, a couple of takeaways, and the bus into Falmouth. Only one very minor point was parking; the free car park which is round the corner from the house was invariably full which meant parking in a pay car park further away. We liked the steep walk up the street to the house, and the spiral staircase in the house, but this may not be great for anyone with a mobility issue. Finally, having arrived after a long journey, we were delighted with pretty flowers, welcome card and bottle of wine, then continued to be delighted that Simon had stocked the fridge with milk, butter, bread, bacon and eggs. What a star! Super place. I thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Simon.

Comfortable, well equipped, cosy cottage
Would not hesitate to book again. Great location, very convenient to have a dining table for six as our daughter and her partner were able to visit and eat with us. Our dogs enjoyed being able to come too and very nice surprise to have some welcome food items.

Perfect and calm haven!
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage in a quiet corner of Penryn. Thank you for the supplies which were really appreciated on our late arrival. Simon was a communicative and friendly host and we really appreciated his flexibility with our checkout time. A quirky and tastefully decorated retreat, with a lovely garden as an unexpected surprise. Couldn't recommend it enough!
