In winter time the apt is warm with underfloor heating and good insulation. The apt is located at the very center of Lanciano, close to restaurants, shops and cafés. The distance to the nearest bar/café is 25m. Free parking nearby. Dogs are welcome (we have one ourselves so if you are very allergic to dogs our apt might not suit you). A fine feature about the area is that dogs are also welcome on many of the beaches. Remember to bring the parasol and water! More

About the neighbourhood
Lanciano is an ancient town in Abruzzo with 36000 inhabitants. It is located 15 min from the sea, an hour from the Apennine mountains and 46 km south of Pescara. The well preserved historical centre of Lanciano consists of four parts of which our apartment is in the very oldest. The storical center contain several interesting buildings and historical features among the ancient streets. Being very italian this vivacious town has a number of good restaurants and bars as well as shops. Wednesdays and Saturdays are market days. The coast near Lanciano is still unspoilt with beautiful free beaches with clear water and wonderful fish restaurants. Even during peak summer time the beaches are not crowded, allowing you staying at the water front. It is also possible to bring dogs to many of the b...
How to get there
The airport in Pescara (Abruzzo international airport) is, despite it's name, mainly for domestic flights. However, Ryan Air flies there from many European cities, like London, Paris, Frankfurt, Bruselles, Oslo and Barcelona. Another easy option is to fly to Rome. From the airports in Rome there are buses to Lanciano, but renting a car is a good alternative if you want to be able to explore Abruzzo and the Lanciano area. You take the A24 and then the A25 to get to the east coast. If you have your own car it's also nice to make a lunch break in one of the mountain towns along the way. May I suggest Celano? Just before Pescara you take the A14 south towards Bari, and then the Lanciano exit after 35 km on the A14.
