- Our stay at Arcadia Lodge was the perfect end to our New Zealand holiday. Greg and Peter were outstanding hosts and very welcoming, providing recommendations for places to eat and things to do. All were fantastic as were the breakfasts provided. The Lodge was historic, quirky and just gorgeous.

The breakfast was just amazing with an incredible view over the harbor …we loved our brief conversations with other guests . Peter and Greg always on front of the curve on the coffee front as well ! Greg gave us tips on Russell which we enjoyed immensely as well as needed history of the lodge which made our stay in context . Just a not to miss accommodation and great people making our stay a great way to cap off our New Zealand trip.

The house and location are fantastic. The view is stunning. Nothing was too much trouble for Peter and Greg who provided us with useful information on where to visit. Breakfast was on the terrace and was without a doubt the best we have had on this trip. Fabulous homemade and beautifully prepared. Accommodation warm and cosy and in keeping with the property. We would recommend it if you are in this part of NZ.

Peters breakfasts are to die for and we found lunch wasn’t needed! We stayed 5 nights and found plenty to do in the area. Arcadia Lodge was a great place to relax in the evening if we’d dined out. The house itself has an interesting history and full of character. It is beautifully appointed as was our room. A sundowner on the terrace ( or personal balcony) overlooking the lovely bay is the icing on the cake. We would definitely recommend it if you are in this part of NZ.
