Great resort with great staff to match

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 21 Jul 2022via mobile
Unfortunately I am a little late on this review.
I picked this hotel out of the blue & was surprised by how nice it was & it’s great staff. I stayed in a second story villa overlooking the ocean & beautiful sunsets. Every employee I came across was extremely pleasant & helpful. While I never saw another American that I knew of (& across the island) English was well spoken & understood. The food was excellent except for the Luau which was a little cold, yet the event was amazing. Staff was eager to help with any questions about the resort or traveling outside of the property. The two pools are very nice especially the big pool being 10-12 feet deep. It is the deepest pool I have been in a hotel. It was great getting my ears & lungs ready for all the SCUBA & free diving I would be doing. Everything was exceptionally clean & the property was well maintained & manicured. The location is a little far from downtown yet well worth it as you can walk either way on the beach for miles & never see another person, which I never did. The staff knew I was interested in the sea life & notified me when a group of Rays were swimming along the beach.
I did not bring my computer with me on this trip & my phone shorted out. I did not have time to order another phone from the US & the staff was kind enough to help me with everything I needed to get back alright including checking on the status of my flight home & making sure my transportation was taken care of.
I normally stay @ different hotels when I return somewhere fairly new yet I will stay at this beautiful location again.

My family Decided to stay for my son’s birthday! We rented two rooms one was at the second floor it was relaxing view specially while watching the sunset! But ofcourse the first floor I think was better because from my door few steps away and I’m at the beach already! Just whichever room actually was great !
I love it the bar was in the middle of the swimming pool you can eat and drink while swimming! They have good drinks cocktails and good food too!
I’ll definitely be back again next time with my family!

We decided to have a staycation here on Mother's Day. The resort itself was pretty quiet. Probably due to the pandemic, there's not much guests around. Our room accommodated 2 large beds; was a good size for 2 adults and 1 child of 11 years old. Room was nicely decorated and comfortable; no frills. Our patio oversees the pool side and ocean side. The room itself is clean, complete with amenities we need. The bathroom is a good size that has a shower with strong water pressure; toilet flushes well. That's always important to me. Staff at front desk was friendly. The rest seems non-existence. Perhaps because downsizing due to Covid? It didn't matter to us much as we are pretty much a laid back, self sufficient travelers. Just thought I'd mention it for other's expectations. The pool side was fun and clean. Despite their lack of staffing, they did provide life guard all throughout the day which is awesome. Safety first. A plus to me.

Due to the Covid Pandemic, their hotel was limited in staffing (maybe?) and dining or food experience. No room service. The restaurants are open only during meal times (lunch and dinner) so if you want snacks or sandwiches in between, you'll have to either buy it outside or buy snacks at their little shop on the first floor.

Overall, an average stay for us. It was fun and relaxing. However, I gave an extra star for their safety protocol and priority.

Room tip: Pool side and ocean side view

I just spent 3 nights at Aqua Resort Club. We had an ocean front room #3 with a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was large enough for two adults. The bath amenities was more than your average hotel. Nice bathroom with bath and shower. The toilet was in a separate room. King bed was very comfortable. The only complaint was the A/C. Though the room was cool enough the A/C would turn on and off all night. We ate at the Costa restaurant on seafood night. Good variety of seafood and the dessert was impressive. We ate at the Sunset bbq with local island music and dancers. Food was very good. We had a menu for drinks but no one ever came to take our drink order. The last restaurant we ate at was Kevin’s. Fine dining restaurant which you do not find very many in Saipan. Food was good and the atmosphere was first class. The pool area is nice but if you get there late in the day you may not find a place to sit.

Room tip: When on an island get an ocean front room.

The resort is located far from restaurants but within walking distance of a shop on the north-western coast of the island. There is another deserted hotel right next the property, The rooms very spacious but a bit worn. The hotel as such is well-managed and clean and caters mainly to tourist from Asia and Russia. The pool is a bit on the small side and quickly gets crowded. The beach is nice but not really suited for swimming and the water is too shallow. On the negative side - since the hotel is located in an isolated area, it severely overcharges on food- $25 for breakfast and meals starting at approx. $50 p.P. If you stay here you will need a rental car to drive around the island. Good hotel is you want to relax for a couple of days.
