Called in and had lunch today at this small Bistro in the country Victorian town of Romsey. The serving staff were very welcoming right from the start when we shown to a table. There was a warm fire going in the room, and the table seating was quite comfortable and not cramped for space. The Sunday lunch menu was relatively small, but contained a good choice of dishes, that would suit most tastes. There were a number of both Vegan and Gluten free options available also. They had a small wine list to choose from and having chosen the house Shiraz, I was certainly pleased with it’s quality, and at $8.00 per glass it was quite reasonably priced too. My wife chose the Biryani Lamb dish, and I chose the Pappardelle pasta and Beef ragout. We both enjoyed our dishes, which were well proportioned and full of flavour. Costs were extremely good for the quality and serving sizes of each, at $15.00 and $19.00 respectively.
The only inconvenience on the day was that their Coffee machine broke down whilst we were dining, so cannot report on the quality of it accordingly. Overall, a really nice Sunday lunch at a very reasonable cost of $42.00 for two people.
