We were impressed upon our arrival and Robinson showed us to our bungalow. The small kitchenette on the patio was a useful addition. My wife asked the question - "is the bungalow fully serviced?" to which Robinson replied - "But of course madam, fully serviced." We arrived back after a long day and found that our morning cups and saucers had not been washed and were crawling with ants. My wife phoned Robinson who then denied what he had said and exclaimed -"the staff have never washed the dishes." This fact that the staff do not wash dishes is important enough to point out to new arrivals as this small matter has spoiled our 3 day stay here. Not nice.

The hotel has the true feeling of an island paradise, with individual bungalows and a beautiful garden. The staff is extremely helpful with making bookings and figuring out the island. We did not use the restaurant or the pools, but the room was very clean if a bit on the small side.

Room Tip: The bungalows up the hill are more of a walk but more private

My boyfriend and I stayed here on the last 2 nights of our trip around Réunion and it worked well for us. If you choose to stay here you should know that you will have all the basic comforts: a clean, nice room, very friendly (helpful and English speaking) staff and food/drinks easily available. However, the food is quite expensive and not as good quality as what you find elsewhere on the island and in St Leu itself. The breakfast, 16€ per person is basic at best and we were not at all impressed. They offer a few types of pastries, breads, crepes, and fresh fruit but they were not particularly special and certainly not worth the 32€ it cost us. I recommend eating out for a nicer ambience and better quality.

You will need to drive to go to the beach or into town (or basically anywhere) and we found the nicest beach with cafes and umbrellas a few kilometers away but this is what we expected and didn’t deter our opinion of the hotel. Certainly if you want to spend all day at the resort by the pool and sipping on famous Réunion rum cocktails, you will be quite satisfied! Also, if you’re ok with hopping in the car each morning to explore, you’ll be happy to return to a nice room here at the end of each day.

This hotel states clearly that it is a 3-star hotel, and it is just that. We stayed in a kitchenette bungalow with our 8-month old and were happy with what was supplied. Yes, it is dated, but everything worked and we were able to make simple meals there. We were supplied a pack and play for our baby to sleep in, which was fine. The staff were all friendly and knew enough English for us to be able to communicate easily. We only used one of the two pools (the larger one) and it was always a great temperature and clean. We had a problem with tiny ants in our room/on the porch. There were MANY of them constantly all over things, even inside. We ate at the restaurant a few times. The pasta was basic, but the burgers were good. The view from the restaurant is beautiful, especially at sunset. When we were leaving, my husband luckily noticed that we were charged an extra 110 Euros by the restaurant, so I suggest going through the bill closely when leaving. If you go in with the expectation that you will be at a 4 or 5 star resort, you will be disappointed. Overall, it was a decent place to stay for a little family that wanted to relax.

Property a bit dated and the rooms are nothing special but the staff was super nice and helpful. We had a bungalow with a kitchenette. The kitchen was on the patio which was not super inviting for hanging out. The bed was pretty soft and lumpy. The pool had limited shade and lots of kids. Not much in walking distance. Restaurants fine but not very vegetarian friendly. Overall average and feels a bit overpriced.
