my room was dirty upon arrival. the ac was not working properly. when i ask for help regarding this matter i was ignored. when ever i approched the front desk i was made to feel like i was being bothered.

We ( seven peoples) booked this resort thinking was at Punta Cana, but was 2 hours near Santo Domingo.
The beach, restaurants, shows and gardens were goods.
The rooms were poor of maintenance, such as:
baths dirty, handles brokens and hanguing(balcony door), A/C unit noise, faucet need change, mattress and pillows need to be improve.

Horrible experience at this hotel.
Booked the Refurbished Suite with the ocean view. The suite was not refurbished!! There was mold in the shower and around the sinks; lights coming off the walls; bird poop on the inside curtains; shower head not attached to the wall; windows in the bathroom nailed shut; always had to track down the cleaning staff to get towels that were never replaced. The mattresses were hard; the pillows crazy lumpy and uncomfortable; the sheets were never changed. The pictures they have of the room online are of the VIP guest suites, not the deluxe rooms!
This was once probably a really nice hotel, but not anymore. We had a 4th floor room and the view was really nice, but no rooms on the 4th floor had a balcony. The 2nd and 3rd floors have balconies, but the view is obscured by trees.The front desk staff were very rude and unhelpful unless you spoke spanish. They also sell day passes to the locals every weekend, so the resort staff cater to them over the vacationing guests. So be prepared on the weekends for the pools and buffet to be packed. All the al la carte staff were great and the food was good. The snack bar was also good. The buffet was sub par and it was always seat yourself so you were lucky to find a table, then you had to track down the staff with the silverware. Very frustrating. The beach is small and there is only one pool you are allowed to access on the beach side. The largest and nicest pool is located across the street on the garden side. To get a beach towel from the hotel will cost you $20 american for a deposit, which is not listed anywhere. That said, the garden side pool was usually dirty with bird poop and tons of other things floating in the water. Even after they "cleaned" the pool, it was still dirty. The only time it was really cleaned was on the Tuesday morning after all the local guests had vacated. I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on this hotel. Really disappointed!

Room Tip: Refurbished rooms are garbage.

The guest services won’t help we had 3 different rooms with floods, no ac no water etc they took 6 hours each time to deal with they don’t care this is a local resort to rip off people sadly tAkes away from the beautiful views .

Boca Chica is very beautiful and pleasure beach but is far from Santo Domingo, around 30 minutes by car (25km), and taxis are very expensive. If you wanna stay just in the hotel in front of the beach it is perfect, if you wanna go to Santo Domingo frequently it is far.
Boca Chica is close to the airport (5km).

Room Tip: The place is very big and beautiful, but the building is old and some rooms smell of mold and are not well maintained.
