This one is your typical seafood restaurant in the area. It looks like most of these places, kind of family restaurant design and feeling. You get honest food, efficient service. You also get fresh stuff even on weekdays. They have a big wine selection and even the raw stuff is safe to eat. Also have fresh hand made pasta.
They work hard at making you feel at home.
Popular with locals.

Heading south towards Ravenna on the main road from Chioggia (SS309) we stopped here for dinner quite late in the evening and it was an excellent choice. We ordered two starters (antipasti misti and astice), one first course (spaghetti alle vongole veraci) two main courses (branzino and orata) plus a side dish of grilled vegetables, a carafe of the house wine and then dessert, and the bill came to 87 euros. The atmosphere was very agreeable, mostly local families who were clearly regular customers. All the dishes we saw being taken to the other tables were well presented and appetising. When the time came to pay the bill, everything was carefully itemised, without any mistakes. You feel you are in very good hands in a place like this, unlike many of the restaurants you find in Venice. We will be back.

The very efficient waitress greeted us warmly despite the restaurant being already at capacity and gave us the only non-reserved table that evening. And at the end we were very happy she did: the food was truly excellent, extremely fresh and very well prepared. Despite the restaurant being full, everything worked well and we felt we were looked after. We had clams and home-made pasta with clams, followed by a generous serve of grilled eel and some canestrelli, all of which were amazing. Definitely worth a detour if in the area.

Driving from Ravenna to Urbino we wanted to find an alternative to fast food or a bar. As we passed this place we noticed all the expensive cars and took a chance. Turns out this is a very popular restaurant for local businessman willing to spend an hour on a great lunch. Despite a full room, the owner was delighted to welcome us. We let him pick the wine and looked around for the most popular dishes. Our three course meal was amazing and cost 40 euros. What a difference from Venice or Florence.

On the busy main road from Chioggia to Venice, with traffic roaring past day and night, you'll find this oasis of slow food, a calm foodie heaven with prompt welcoming service and a menu which is very good value given the outstanding quality. Our 3 course meal for two including wine, water and coffee came to 60 euros.
My partner declared he's never had better sole, and my giant grilled prawns were fantastic. Even their chips were to die for! (More like hot crisps!)
Just one small warning, though. It isn't really a tourist restaurant, so a bit of Italian helps, although I'm sure they would bend over backwards to be helpful.
