This one bedroom condo is the best location in Sunset Crest, Holetown on the west coast of Barbados - one block to everything!! One block to the beautiful community association pool right on the beach, one block to the chattel houses for coffee shops, tourist and trendy shopping, less than one block to the main road for bus stops in either direction, just a few steps to a 24 hour medical centre, and a local fruit/vegetable stand and amazing local food trucks selling lunch Monday thru Friday, etc. One block to a supermarket, one block to local bars and banks, one block to two of the west coast's best restaurants - Tides and the Beach House, one block to duty free shopping (Cave Shepherd), etc...and about three blocks to high end shopping at the Limegrove Shopping Centre and the other restaurants and bars in Holetown. You are also within walking distance of the famed Sandy Lane and Payne's Bay beaches - but enough on the location.
The condo itself is wonderful.....it has been beautifully renovated from top to bottom from the ceramic tile in the lanai when you enter (a beautiful place to have morning coffee and evening cocktails) to the kitchen/living room. There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom and it is an end unit so lots of light and cross breeze. There is a second full bathroom off the living room again beautifully decorated and the bedroom has a full ensuite bath. Lots of cupboard space in the kitchen and bedroom - only drawback is the closet in the bedroom is a bit small - everything else is perfect.
The housekeeper, Jacinthe, greets you upon arrival and comes twice a week to do laundry and clean the condo. Both she and the owner are delightful to deal with.
Being part of the community association at the beach pool only added to the enjoyment of our holiday - I look forward to returning in March 2017 and would highly recommend Golden Sunset to anyone that is looking for a condo in Holetown.
Great location. Yellow bus to Oistons and Bridgetown for $2. Journey is 30-40 mins depending on the traffic.
Great Studio. In a safe residential road, near the 24 hour medical centre. Reassuring even though we didn't need it. The flat came with air conditioner which was included in the price. We met a few people who had to pay a meter for the usage of their aircon. There are a few Mosquitoes in Barbados but the bedroom comes with a big net. The place had two rooms with showers and toilets, a vast living area and an outdoor terrace which was ideal for breakfast. Watch out for the post guy who drives with his moped to you door in order to drop the post. In addition, the flat has a safe for your belongings.
Great Swimming pool. The swimming pool in the post description and pictures don't do the place true justice. With the studio, you get access to a members' beach house. This was a great surprise. The beach house is less than 6 mins to the studio. The pool was cleaned 3 times a day. It has access to a quiet beach and the staff were incredible in personality but also in how they looked after us.
Great host. The host not only responded to emails promptly but also was accommodating with our landing and any questions we had about our stay.
Great experience in Barbados and the studio made it more enjoyable

I'll start on the positive end. The guest house is located in a lovely location for food and shopping. The supermarket and food prices are slightly overpriced which is to be expected when staying in the touristy part of the island. The housekeeper was also very friendly. And, both the Holetown beach and the beach house are good locations to relax and enjoy the sun. We did find that while staying here a few of the window mosquito nets had holes in them. Also we found that there was no iron at the property yet there was an ironing board consequently we bought one for the property at the local supermarket. In addition to this, we found that we required more towels than we were provided with considering that it is a warm country and showering multiple times a day is common if you're out all day or out at night.
This is a fantastic villa in a great location. The villa has everything you need with Holetown on your doorstep. Access to the pool is an added bonus.
Would stay here again and we highly recommend it for a couple.
