Pool, lake and fake beach are lovely. We loved the walk around the lake and to the beach. It is located in such a peaceful surrounding. It was amazing to see kangaroos hanging around on the grass.
Good buffet breakfast and convenient restaurant/bar on site.
However, the property seems run down, the gardens were not well kept and rooms don’t have very good sound proof. Hope they will have had some renovations or facelift next time we’re back.

The bathroom hot taps have no tempering valve, this is illegal and means scolding hot water comes out. Our two year old while in the bath with us standing right there turned the hot tap on, which sprayed scolding hot water all over her. She screamed and we tested the water and it was burning hot coming out well over the legal 60° temperature, I tried calling every extension for the resort to try and get first aid but nobody picked up. It is NOT NORMAL for a bath tap to spew out scolding hot water and at such a speed it burnt our toddler, and then the icing on the cake was the inability to seek medical help.
Don't stay here.
Totally mismanaged hotel. They double charged my credit card for the stay and still have not refunded. I emailed several times and either get no answer or a simple we will look into it but then never a replpy.
There are many nice hotels on the sunshine coast to stay but better don't stay at this place
It’s my first time in Sunshine Coast, as well as Queensland. We’re a group of 600 people for a 3-day conference. The staff from Novotel have been very helpful, big shout outs to Jenna McIvor, Jade Gower, Falynne Hills, Olivia Ratten, Rhianna Teague and Brooke Te Huia from the Conference & Events team ❤️ Especially Jenna, Jade & Falynne they were always here to provide all the support we needed not only during the conference, but also accommodated all our crazy ideas and needs (last minute room swapping and changing)! Our conference would not be as successful without all of your help!
I personally love the food a lot here. Not getting tired at all of the sautéed mushrooms at the buffet breakfast! The baristas made perfect coffees in a lightening speed that literally everyone got a drink within 15 mins break time!
Lots of chances to encounter kangaroos 🦘 and brush turkeys here
Would definitely recommend friends to host their events here 😊

What an amazingly beautiful place to stay in QLD so peaceful… waking up and looking out over the lagoon watching the kangaroos with their joeys in pouch, black swans, bush turkey and bin chickens no need for a zoo … short walk to an amazing white sand patrolled beach amazing walks with bicycle track/walking trails see online … can’t fault this amazing hotel the staff the great restaurants and a breakfast buffet is to die for .. offers guacamole and smoked salmon and every yoghurt under the sun including coconut yoghurt .. best eggs ever whatever you desire ! The omelets are so cheesy and delicious the staff are so kind and accommodating the coffee is made so perfectly from the barista… the bar has the most amazing selections or cocktails their martinis in particular you have to try the cheesecake martini .. perfectly crafted so delicious.. I just miss the sound of the crows and birds surrounding our perfect place on our beach of tranquility on the beautiful mellow sores of the twin water lagoon .. hope to return very soon ! Ps the ribs, steak, burgers (to die for) pizza, salads and pasta 👍
