This is the result of one pleasant and informative person's obsession about space, and it is great he is able to let people into his world. The displays include enough stuff for anyone to find something of interest. I liked the live feed from the international space station and the virtual reality experience. Kids would love it.

Had a great trip to the SpaceCentre. The kids loved it and so did the adults. The virtual reality was amazing. A real find.

Every family should visit this small museum. Educational and interesting. Such a surprise in small town NZ to have such an informative place.

What an awesome thing to stumble upon on our drive! Saw the sign as we were driving, and so glad we went in to check it out. The kids loved it, and so did we. It's really well set up. We had a great time, and learned heaps.

Dave Owen owns and runs this little centre of all things Space. He has done a fabulous job collecting everything from authentic space suits to Lego Space sets. There is live, real time feeds of all sorts of information from the International Space Station's location, to ocean currents and Auroras around the world. He offers a 3D experience of space using Oculus VR equipment which is really fun, and he has a collection of binoculars and telescopes for sale. Definitely worth a visit.
