The resort isn't as luxurious as their website suggests. My room was comfortable, however there are certain aspects that need attention - some of the lights were broken, the iron and safe didn't work, the toilet cistern was faulty and water came out of the tap when you wanted a shower. The pool wasn't as clean as it could have been either.
The most 'memorable experience' was the delays experienced in the attached 'Sur La Mer' restaurant. We ordered breakfast at 09:00 - it took over 35 minutes for coffee to be brought to our table (and even then it was only weak Nescafé). Our food did not arrive until 11:05 and, when it did, it was not as described on the menu - many of the items were missing from the dishes. It was a similar experience at lunchtime - 50 minutes to make a sandwich and, when it arrived, it had two small pieces of chicken in it.
Some of the staff were good, in particular those who checked us in. Some also explained that the delays were due to the impact of Carnival. However, it felt like there was no proper planning (staffing and supplies) and some staff didn't seem particularly bothered about delays or customer service.
In summary, the rate for the room doesn't match expectations and I wouldn't recommend staying at the resort in its current state. There's lots of work needed to the rooms, facilities and staff to get the place up to scratch.
