Family stay in Barolo Wine Country

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 3 Aug 2024via mobile
We booked two rooms for our tall family of four (tall husband and two tall teenage boys). We can not say enough incredible things about this property. A traditional Italian villa in Barolo wine country updated in design and modern amenities, AC worked even in early August (which is saying a lot for Italy). Property is centrally located in La Morra, we had no trouble walking to dinner every night. The property is gorgeous…breakfast is included and delicious traditional Italian spread…they will also cook you eggs on demand. Pool is fantastic, lounge is small but great for aperitivo or night cap, courtyard is beautiful at night to enjoy a glass of wine. Private spa is an incredible space, we enjoyed massages here. Beds are comfortable, Grown Alchemist products are appreciated in bathrooms. And last, but definitely NOT least, the staff has been amazing. They are accommodating, kind, helpful, and great hosts! Thank you!

We had a private patio all to ourselves. On a sunny afternoon with umbrella covering our faces, we dozed off. Total relaxation. We loved the pillows and the mattress. Just the right stiffness (or softness.) Not to mention the breakfast. Freshly made pastries. A ton of choices. Fruits, cheeses, yogurt… Everything and anything a boutique hotel would offer. We loved our stay. Highly recommend this place.

I stayed at Casa Riveria and it was amazing. Very well stocked house with everything to offer. Beautiful views . Hotel staff was lovely and helpful with booking taxis as we did not have a car. The hotel itself a charming boutique hotel in the center.

Amazing Boutique Hotel, the most elegant and relaxing hotel i've ever stayed in. The staff and owners could not have done more to make our stay perfect. the rooms and beds were superb and breakfast was the best. We didn't get the chance to use the outdoor pool area as the weather was rainy however it looked very inviting and pristine.

We chose to stay in La Morra based on the best boutique hotel we could find and this was it. It turned out to be a great pick. First, we loved La Morra. Not as big as some towns , not as small as others. It had some good restaurants and great gelato and was driving distance to all the other towns in Piemonte.
The hotel itself is decorated beautifully. Classy and clean. There is a lovely pool area and an outdoor space with tables to have a drink or breakfast. They also have a little “living” room with a bar to sit and chat and have a drink or coffee.
The breakfast room is delightful as was the breakfast. Plentiful and fresh.
We had king rooms. Our friends’ room was beautiful and had windows on both sides of the room and bathroom with tons of natural light. Our room was spacious but quite dark. It had 2 windows facing the front of the hotel but to keep the curtains open meant the people across the way could look directly in. Our bathroom window opened to the attic - so no natural light came in. Plus, it was creepy so we didn’t utilize that window. There were small lamps by the beds and not a large overhead light. There needed to be better lighting in the room. That is really my only complaint.
The staff is very helpful and they take well deserved pride in their establishment . Everyone is super friendly and while they speak English , they let me practice my Italian and helped me when I got stuck. Very kind.
There is parking right behind the hotel included. There is also a little grocery store and pharmacy just up the street. This hotel is very well located and has everything you need. I always appreciate an upscale decor and this hotel has that too.
This would be my go-to choice if we ever find ourselves in the area again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Room tip: Parking is included in a little lot behind the hotel.

We were 4 couples - 3 from Germany - one from the US. What an amazing stay we had. The hotel was beautiful, clean and very comfortable and cozy. All of the staff was extremely friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate us. The rooms were spacious, and the beds were amazing The breakfast buffet every day was plentiful and you could even order eggs and bacon. The garden area and outside seating were very inviting and that is where we spent most of our evenings. The area around La Morra is so picturesque - all the little towns have beautiful churches, very cute restaurants and wine bars. This was one of the most perfect stays ever. Very grateful for the excellent service and accommodations. Hope to return someday.

Room tip: Make sure you visit some of the wineries and other small towns in the area.
