After a drive through bush, we arrived to be greeted by Peter and Helga and their two friendly dogs. We were immediately offered a cup of tea. The room had a comfortable double bed with a mosquito net, just in case we wanted to keep the windows open.
Breakfast was cereal with yoghurt, fruit, toast and homemade jams. When offered, we couldn't turn down the scrambled eggs as they were free range from their farm.
On returning from our dinner in Tryphena we were asked to join the owners in their lounge where we enjoyed their company. The next day was largely repeated.
Peter and Helga are a Kiwi/German/Swiss couple living their dream. Thanks

Room tip: As B&Bs go this is up there. Lovely people

6 restful nights, 6 delicious breakfasts and even more delicious dinners at this fantastic B&B, as well as our chats with Peter and Helga made the best part of our lovely short holiday. The Great Barrier added the rest: picturesque views, swim at the sea, bush walks, soaking in hot (real HOT!) springs. One day we'll be back!!

We simply couldn't spend long enough on Great Barrier Island. We only had one night and the stay was wonderfully relaxing. Peter and Helga made us so welcome at their beautiful home set in luxuriant gardens amidst the forest. The room was lovely and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and if you enjoy peace and quiet the setting couldn't be better. I just wish we'd had time to explore the grounds properly.

Overall we would thoroughly recommend Natures Garden - you'll not be disappointed.
