We did the 5 day package just now, 2 nights at torrent bay and meadow wood each. Loved every minute of it: perfect organisation, friendly staff, good food and above all 2 amazing guides that would simply do anything for you. The hiking was superb and just challenging enough, and of course the scenery is simply mind-boggling. 5* all around!

I booked a one-day pass to Abel Tasman National Park with a coach connection through my travel agent. I didn’t know what to expect prior to arriving at the park. The Wilsons staff was available upon arrival to Kauteriteri, and they explained the different options to me. I was booked by default on another trek, but the staff changed it on-site to allow me more time to hike. They also rearranged my coach connection back to Nelson at no extra charge.

I ended up taking the boat ride to the furthest point, got off at Medlands Beach, and did a trek to Anchorage (stopping at some of the viewpoints along the way). I definitely recommend this voyage, as it was a beautiful walk filled with lush landscapes, turquoise-blue vistas, and well-manicured trails. There was no shortage of breathtaking views for photos.

I had reserved a picnic lunch, which was packed to the brim with goodies (sandwich, juice, apple, quiche, scone, and cookie) and very delicious. I’m glad I did this, because food options were extremely limited if you don’t bring your own. There is nothing available along the trails and limited toilet facilities.

Overall, the staff was very friendly and made for a great experience. Special shout-out to Austen who drove the coach back to Nelson, and he was friendly, helpful, and a safe driver.

We did 5 day walk/kayak trip which included 2 nights each in Wilson's 2 lodges in the Abel Tasman national park.
Abel Tasman park is beautiful, and made for coastal hiking/kayaking, and we enjoyed many memorable experiences over the 5 days.
But what really stood out was Wilson's professionalism, friendliness, passion, flexibility, and overall quality.
Able to accommodate a huge range of different age groups, fitness, and experience levels, and were able to efficiently and helpfully organise logistics around various travel plans among our tour group.
The 5 day experience provided ample opportunity to do your own thing with multiple options available most days as well as enjoy the camaraderie of a diverse collection of people from all over the world around the lodge dinners etc.
Accomodation and food and drink not super luxury resort 5 star level but of consistent high quality, and entirely in keeping with the national park ethos and kiwi hospitality.
All the staff we came across at Wilson's were brilliant, with nothing seeming to be too much trouble, but special mention to our amazing, fun, knowledgeable, and outstandingly helpful guides, Michelle, Brigitte, and Scott.
A must do experience and Wilson's get unreserved unconditional recommendation from us, and by all accounts from all the people on our tour.
PS. Do the Falls River walk, and do the kayaking.

We prebooked with our local agency. So first, we had to exchange the voucher at their office one day before and not the front desk at the meeting point the same day.
We were requested to arrive at 8.45 while our boat was leaving at 9.20. Why not? We managed to be there at 8.40 but we could have arrived only at 9.00. Why do they rush us?
On the way back we were also requested to be there earlier, but the boat arrived with more than 20 minutes late.
On top of that all the companies seem to have the same schedule, which is very stupid, because that create an unnecessary bottleneck.
And by the way, the sites are not so “crazy” as I was expecting.
Overall, I did not enjoy, but of course that’s my own feelings.

I think you are saying that the National Park experience was better than you were anticipating. The only specific complaint you have within our control is that we asked you to report 30 minutes prior to departure. The answer to your question as to why; you must be aware that this is the busiest week of the year for NZ travel! Traffic conditions, taking the wrong turn, finding a carpark are a few valid reasons for allowing time prior to any scheduled departure. It takes time to get people organised & weather conditions also have an impact, both reasons contributed to one of your services running slightly later.

We recommend that people collect their ticket/boarding pass at our Motueka Office if you are driving past so there is time to provide a better service and answers to any questions in an unhurried environment. It is pleasing to see that it did make your pre-departure time stress free.

Best wishes for your future travels.

The boat was very comfortable with option to sit inside under cover in case it is rainy and sit on the open deck in case it is sunny. Very friendly crew. The ride was pleasant with some stunning views. A pity we had booked only a half-day tour. Next time we will be taking the 1 day tour.
