“Everything You Need”
Reviewed 3 May 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Inviting and comfortable, spotlessly clean, very well equipped. Two good sized en-suite rooms, hot water always available, flat screened TVs in both bedrooms, as well as the lounge, and WI-Fi available. Brenda and her family very friendly and helpful. Situated in a beautiful area, so near to the 12 locks of Macclesfield, good walking, and many places of interest to visit. Well recommended.

“Beautiful cottage - we will be back”
Reviewed 2 May 2015 for a stay in April 2015

This was a beautiful cottage - it had everything we needed - very clean and tidy - comfy beds, lovely furnishings, power shower etc. We didn't want to leave. One of the best places we have stayed at. The children loved cuddling the new born lambs. Thank you so much Brenda.

“Perfect for relaxing or exploring”
Reviewed 29 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We are local to the area but had building work going on at home but needed to be elsewhere! We found the cottage to be well appointed proving us with everything we needed for a family of four. The boys loved the fact that this was a working farm especially during lambing season and were fascinated by all the daily workings of the farm. The Peak District is right on the doorstep and Swallows Barn is a great place to explore from.

The Barn has Wi-Fi and although we struggled with the phone signal inside the property you could get signal outside.

The owner, Brenda, was extremely helpful and made our stay very pleasant. We would recommend Swallow Barn as we enjoyed our visit.

“Hoping to come back next Easter!”
Reviewed 16 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We had the best holiday in years during our week at Swallows Barn! The accommodation was high quality and being able to book a travel cot and high chair was an added bonus, as was having a bath as well as a shower. Our hosts were very welcoming and incredibly generous in letting our girls enjoy their farm - the hilight of the week for everyone was seeing two lambs being born on our last night. The surrounding area has lots to do including National Trust venues, Rudyard Lake (with steam train ride and ice-creams!) and close access to the Peak District but also bigger attractions not too far if that's your thing. Highly recommended indeed!

“A home from home on the farm.”
Reviewed 14 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We stayed in Swallows Barn for five days in March 2015. The accommodation, in our opinion, was of a very high standard. Run by friendly owners Brenda and her farmer husband the two bedroomed cottage couldn't be faulted and had a well designed feel to it. High quality furnishings and fittings make it a home from home - we felt nothing had been overlooked - if we had not brought something with us, we found it available in one of the cupboards/wardrobe/drawers. As well as downstairs toilet facilities each bedroom had it's own ensuite bathroom so no fighting over access! The open plan lounge/ kitchen/ dining is spacious and comfortable and tv's in the lounge and bedrooms add to the luxury feel.
A pub is five minutes away by car and serves lunch and evening meals and the cottage is ideally placed for trips into Cheshire or the Peak District.
This was our first stay and we intend to return.
