“Great week away”
Reviewed 20 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

The cottage has bags of character; the kitchen in particular is incredibly warm and welcoming with the Aga throwing out a constant gentle heat. There are several pubs to choose from in the village and the local shops keep everything you might need. The cottage is about a 15 min walk out of the village up an unlit farm road so we chose not to walk to dinner. I would recommend this cottage wanting a relaxing gettaway.

“My Cosy Winter Cottage”
Reviewed 3 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

Following detailed clear instructions was able to find cottage easily, although I did drive out earlier in the day as easy to miss track if dark. The road up to cottage was fine although there was no snow when I visited. Parking Adequate 3 point turn required when going out but no problem at all.
The area was perfect for me as I prefer peace and quiet. Horses and riders seen regularly.
Lots of birds too watch on bird table in front of kitchen window. One particular important point is that this cottage was lovely and warm. The aga is brilliant coming downstairs in morning you can feel the warmth hit you as you go down the stairs. So if like me you hate the cold this cottage is perfect. An electric fire in the lounge provided good heat too.
Bedrooms very comfortable.
Cleanliness was exceptional so whoever is responsible for the cleaning ....excellent!
This property is well maintained. I cannot think of anything that would improve this cottage.
My mother stayed with me for a couple of days she is 80 and managed the stairs, but they are steep.

“Perfect cottage”

Just had a short weekend break in the cottage and could not find fault with anything. It is the perfect country retreat with everything you could possibly want for a relaxing break. The living room was very cosy but the beating heart of the place was the kitchen with the Aga at the centre of it.Like others before us,we had a lovely breakfast while watching the birds have theirs on the feeder outside.

“Perfect location, perfect property.”
Reviewed 1 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Stayed here for a week at the end of October with our two children, the house is in an idyllic location above Heydon Bridge, both the owners and the manager are very friendly and helpful, the accommodation is perfect, set in open countryside but only a few miles from all that the area has to offer.

“Lovely Pagecroft Cottage”
Reviewed 29 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We had a smashing stay here. The cottage is well equipped and very cosy. The garden attached to the main house is just magical. The area has excellent access to all attractions so getting about is simple, having said that the lane up to the property requires a brave heart and the hope you meet nobody coming in the opposite direction!.

Hexham is a lovely little town as is Morpeth. If you go to Hexham be sure to visit the Hexham Abbey Gift Shop as the ladies in there are wonderful, we could have spent all day talking to them and the products for sale are fabulous.

A visit to Alnwick Castle is also a must.

All in all thoroughly recommended.
