A very pleasant hotel in the centre of town. My satnav took me round in circles because of the pedestrianisation so best take a print extract from a Google street map with you.
Immediate street parking is difficult and if you do park nearby be aware that you’ll have to move your car before 9.30 am. I eventually found free street parking in a square not far away but I would recommend you book the hotel’s parking if it’s available as spaces are not easy to come by.
The reception and small courtyard were colonially quaint and the staff friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and despite overlooking the narrow street, very quite.
I was there on Sunday night and could only find one restaurant open nearby so I had a meal at a table in the hotel bar along with a number of locals and enjoyed it very much.
I’m never very keen to stay in town centre hotels (parking difficulties, traffic congestion & noise, usually more expensive etc.) but this was a great little family run hotel at a reasonable price in a very convenient spot to be able to stroll around this historical town.More
