Our second stop on our Camino trek was a pleasant surprise. Wonderful setting, friendly brother/sister owner team. Comfortable room and a good meal. Nothing but positive things to say. Would certainly stay here again.

A nice hotel, a small room but clean and tidy. Lovely views across the valley. Had a nice lunch on the patio. The long balcony on the first floor had rocking chairs, so that was a nice place to relax. Enjoyed a good evening meal served by very friendly staff. Good breakfast, at 0730. Recommended.

We stayed one night while walking the Camino and it was a rest day for us so we really enjoyed time on the sunny patio, chatting with other pilgrims. We had requested a quiet room so we ended up in a tiny room at the top with sloped ceilings, no windows, only a skylight, but it was quiet and comfortable enough. Perhaps the balcony rooms would be a better option if available. Dinner was €12 and ok for the price. The best part of this hotel is the brother and sister who own it are lovely and they work extremely hard to provide for their guests. We really appreciated their kindness! The only real negative for us was that we didn’t realize this hotel is on the highway, approximately a km from the actual village of Las Herrerias (not a noisy highway at night, just not in the village). If you want to explore other restaurants or go to the wee supermarket you have to walk into the village, and of course the ascent up to O Cebreiro begins beyond the village as well. However, after walking through the village and seeing what else is there, we felt Paraíso del Bierzo does appear to be the best option in Las Herrerias if you prefer a nice little hotel with all the services.

We were on our way to Compostela and overnighted here. The rooms were clean and well appointed and the service was great. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. As usual, wifi was spartan but available at a pinch.

On our way to Santiago we discovered this nice family run hotel. We are very glad that we did not miss this one. Nice rooms, very good service and very good food. Ps: Try the trouts on the menu, you won't be disappointed.
