We were so happy we chose to stay here. Located up on the hill, this property is absolutely beautiful and the view is completely breath taking.
Motueka city is only 10mins away and Kaiteriteri is around 15-20 mins away.
Scott and John really made our stay so comfortable. They have all information needed in the cottage, keeping it handy. The cottage itself is quite spacious, with its own living/dining/kitchen, big room and nice modern bath room. The view from the deck overlooking the river and mountains. They served divine breakfast too. What’s not to love? We will definitely come back here and huge recommendation for this beautiful property.

Thanks for your fantastic review and for pointing out that we are only a short drive to our local town of Motueka and water taxi services that depart from Kaiteriteri out into Abel Tasman National Park. We are really happy that you enjoyed staying in our Cottage and loved the view. We look forward to hosting you again.
Cheers, Scott & John

We had 2 wonderful nights at Awatea Tasman Bay while we explored the Abel Tasman NP. From the time Scott and John warmly welcomed us until we reluctantly departed we enjoyed every minute of our time there. The home is exquisitely designed and furnished and every creature comfort available. Breakfast was delicious and the bed comfortable. We would definitely go back if we are ever in the area again. Thank you Scott and John. You are wonderful hosts.

We spent three nights here at the beginning of our South Island trip. Lovely cottage with every modern amenity, gracious hosts, and a short drive to great hiking, biking, kayaking and eating. Perfect place to get away! And gorgeous views.

Thank you for your lovely review. It's great to hear that you found our location very convenient for getting out into the beautiful Abel Tasman National Park, biking around Rabbit Island, and finding a place to dine in the evenings. And thanks for sharing the photo of a sunrise over our amazing view of the Motueka River and Tasman Bay - a view that we are very happy to have shared with you both. We hope that you may come back for another get-away in the future.
Cheers, Scott & John

My partner and I had a lovely 3 night stay at Awatea Tasman Bay. Scott and John were great hosts from the start, helping with restaurant recommendations, even on the journey to their beautiful B&B. The views from the accommodation are stunning and the room is very spacious and clean. We also stayed in the cottage as they were fully booked for some of our required dates and they moved our (heavy!) luggage while we were out for the day. The location is great as it is very peaceful but only a short drive to all the restaurants and tourist spots of the area.

We would highly recommend and would stay again if we are ever back in that part of NZ.

We stayed in the private guest cottage at Awatea Tasman Bay, which is about 10 meters from the main house. It's gorgeous - spacious kitchen and living room, large bathroom with a spa-like shower, and a fully-appointed bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed. Everything we needed was already there, and we appreciated the attention to detail. The private deck and side lawn are perfect spots for an afternoon drink or just admiring the stunning views from the perch where the home sits. John and Scott were fantastic hosts - friendly, informative, and considerate of guests' particular needs. We loved the location, as we could visit nearby wineries, beaches, and Abel Tasman Park. I highly recommend Awatea Tasman Bay for travelers looking for a lovely, sophisticated, and welcoming guest house.

Room Tip: The private guest cottage was fantastic - definitely worth it for the privacy and additional space.
