What a lovely little pocket of paradise. My girls and I came over to NZ from Australia for the Easter holidays to visit their Nanny and Grandy who live locally in Motueka. We booked the 2 bedroom unit '12' for 8 nights which overlooks the pool and lemon tree and we are thrilled with the cleanliness, friendliness and quality of the accommodation. So refreshing to have free laundry facilitates considering I am travelling with 2 toddlers - and so much flat space for them to run around! The playground got a work out that's for sure. I'm sure you are missing a few figs and lemons picked fresh from the tree, it was such a treat. Its a 10mins drive from town but so lovely and quiet, I would'nt stay anywhere else. Thank you for your wonderful Kiwi hospitality!

Room Tip: Unit 12 over looks the pool. It also catches lovely morning sun.

We'd travelled all day and wanted somewhere convenient to stay for a boat trip booked from Kaiteriteri the following day. This place was perfect. We were shown our apartment which was spacious and comfortable. There were recommendations for eating out. We opted to collect a takeaway from an Asian restaurant which was excellent. We had dining table and chairs in the room and outside. Although we only stayed one night , this would have been a perfect base to explore the Abel Tasmin national park.

First of all I will say thanks to Vince! What a nice and helpful man! We where here for two nights to walk true the Abel Tasman! But I broke my ankle and couldn’t walk proper. Vince helped us with everything we needed and the weather was good so we could sit outside the apartment and had lunch and dinner. And we used the boat to see the national park :-)

This Motel is rated at 3 stars and I would agree with that assessment. It is functional but in no way luxurious. Check in was smooth and friendly. Accommodation clean and basic. 10 dollars for Continental breakfast. Order before 8pm and it is delivered to your room that evening for you to have in the morning. No Air conditioning.
There is a well equipped kitchen. On check you are given a bottle of milk. Storage space is almost non existent so live out of your bag. One narrow wardrobe with 3 hangers and no drawers. The accommodation consisted of a lounge / kitchen and a separate bedroom which has the bathroom attached. No where to place your toiletries in the bathroom other than under the sink cabinet which was small. There are few electrical points to charge all your phones, tablets etc. There is a free laundry and a small charge for clothes drier use. Also and iron and board in one of the laundry units.
We did not use (as it was raining) but there is a pool area which looked pleasant. Car parking is under cover adjacent to your unit.

We stayed in a one bedroom unit which was clean and tidy. A pity there was no ranchslider onto the patio outside the lounge. You had to walk right round the building to get to your table and chairs.Vince was a friendly host. Pool needed attention - it did not look very inviting on such a hot day. Good stopover for Abel Tasman.

Thank you for your review. We have had issues with the pool and are trying our best to remedy the situation.
Doesn't look great but no problem for swimming in. Will be repainted after the summer season.
Many thanks for your stay and we hope to see you again in the future
