Staying at the Haven site across the road we booked the zoo keeper experience for our son. It was excellent, the keepers were very attentive and kind to him and gave him a fabulous experience meeting lots of animals and helping at feeding time. As well as being a seal sanctuary there are other animals and birds to see. Afterwards we had lunch at the cafe , the food and service were excellent.

This is a fab attraction with really nice staff.as well as the seals the highlight are the lynx.
Although I also like naturaland in skegness this is definitely better value.there is a lot more to see and more interesting, it is also cheaper.
Good cafe and gift shop.
Wood definitely recommend.

We visited the seal sanctuary recently and we were pleasantly surprised. If you go make sure you go and watch the seal feeding this was very good and very informative. Having read reviews on here on how unhappy the animals were we were unsure about visiting but so pleased we decided to go. The animals seemed to have plenty of space in their enclosures the only problem seemed to be I think it was the big cats but there was a notice on saying they were in the smaller enclosure while their bigger enclosure was getting finished. Staff were very friendly. We also visited the cafe. Thought it was reasonable priced. Had cream and cup of coffee £3.75. My son had soup and crust till £3.50. You can take your own picnic but the weather was too cold to sit outside. We spent a few hours there and would definitely recommend a visit

Family-run wildlife sanctuary. We really enjoyed our visit. The information boards were informative, the animals had quite reasonably-sized enclosures, and they seemed to genuinely care about the welfare of the animals (unlike some other places we’ve visited in the past). If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit.
