Visited this lovely family run hotel for the 3rd time, with my husband. A short visit of 5 days to visit family and really did not want to leave. We enjoyed our stay so much and we will be back next year, for longer.
Nothing was too much trouble, felt really comfortable.
We had a lovely large corner room with sofa which I really liked and it was at the
back overlooking gardens and mountains looked great lit up at night.
The food was lovely, breakfast served outside and so tasty. Loved the coffee and orange juice as well as the beautiful bacon egg and toast.
Service was given with a smile and friendly greeting. The staff are fantastico and everything was perfecto!!!!!

Room tip: Corner suites fabulous

This hotel is a little gem. Family run by Jesus and his team. Breakfast and evening meals are very affordable but there is a wealth of eateries in the area. 2 minutes walk to the beach makes this hotel perfect location for all. Just park the car up and enjoy

FYI.......Just in case "The Costa Cálida is the approximately 250 km stretch of Mediterranean coastline of the Spanish province of Murcia".

Yet again I find a 2* Hotel which has 5* integrity, personality, charm, and appeal. The hotel has 3 floors, averaging roughly 12 rooms per floor. The rooms are basic, but please do not take that as a negative. The room has everything that a traveler would need, and the rooms are kept immaculately clean everyday by two very hard working Maids. Fresh Towels and bedding provided daily if you should so wish, and the air conditioning in the rooms is remotely controlled and more than adequate. Flat screen TV on the wall, but mostly Spanish Channels (but Euro News TV in English). Tea and coffee making facilities.

Now to the good stuff. This is a very well run family hotel. They extend every possible courtesy to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are very helpful, insightful and engaging. 5* Customer Service with Spanish charisma!

What really makes this Hotel extra special, and amazing value is the attached restaurant, bar and outdoor patio. Their food/drink menu and specials, which includes a Tapas Menu, extends to being the essence of what makes the Hotel Los Narejos surprisingly remarkable.

The food is not only prepared from fresh local ingredients (I have personally visited the kitchen and seen the food prepared), but is also high in quality, and very plentiful. You also have the added value that it will hardly put a dent in the daily Euro budget.

The best values are the "Menu of the Day" and the "Tapas Menu". The Menu of Day changes each day, and there are 32 items on the Tapas Menu (yes, had to try most of them). Both menus are outstanding value, and are prepared from scratch, so be please be patient because the 15 - 20 minute wait is well worth it.

Amstel Draught is only €1.50 a pint and 33cl bottles of Cruz Campo (Cruz Campo is a Spanish Premium Beer, as good as Red Estrella) and are only €1. The house wine both red and white is only €1, and is pretty good.

The Hotel is only a short 5 minute walk to the 7.5km Mar Menor Beach, and if you want a pool, go crash the Hotel Costa Narejos pool down the street (I did). No.... the Los Narejos does not have a pool, but you can rent sun lounges and sun umbrellas at the beach very cheaply.

It is also a short 7 minute walk to the famous and relatively new Restaurant Row in Los Alcazares.

In conclusion, I have to put this marvellous little hotel in my favourite 5 of all time. Having lived in the States for over 25 years and also having traveled the world extensively, staying at some of the most expensive and luxurious hotels, it well deserves its place amongst the best.

Room tip: No Wifi in the room, but in the Hotel Reception, Restaurant, Bar & Patio, and it's free. Eat and drink at the hotel, especially the Tapas Menu. Outstanding quality, and very inexpensive. Very close to the famous Restaurant Row in Los Alcazares.
