Spent a great 10 days here in August. Photos do not do justice to the villa which is all very new and modern with a lovely outdoor area for chilling and eating. Was a bit too far out of town for the likes of our teenagers but me and my husband walked in most days and several evenings. Although the walk is along the main road it is perfectly safe even at night and has a pavement. The local agent Paichi was great, even coming to find us when we initially got lost and it was a real added bonus that Avril and Alexander where really flexible with checking in and out times which made a huge difference. Only thing that could be done to improve villa in my opinion would be a basis welcome package. We had done a shop prior to arriving but if you had come late at night or after supermarkets had closed it may have been nice to have been able to sit with a coffee etc when you got up and got your bearing before venturing out (there is an Aldi, Lidl and Carrefour within a few minutes drive and also 2 walkable supermarkets on the road into town ). Morairia itself is a lovely town, very lively but in a good way with lots going on and I would definitely recommend it.
My wife and I returned to Casa Carew for a second time in late February. The weather during the day was like a good British summer. Perfect. The villas now has air conditioning which also can provide additional heating. Ideal for the cooler evenings in February. The villa is in excellent condition and its accessibility to Moraira town has improved as the council has put in a pavement on the main road all the way to the centre. This makes a walk to town more enjoyable.
We like Moraira and the surrounding area so much that we are considering purchasing a property in the area ourselves.
The villa is spotlessly clean and very well maintained and appointed. It is located in a quiet suburb about 10 minutes drive from Moraira, with easy access to the AP7 motorway if you wish to explore the area. All 3 bedrooms have quiet and efficient aircon, there is free wi-fi and a TV with English channels and a large kitchen with all mod cons. Most impressive is the large outdoor terrace area with dining table, sun loungers, shaded retreat and a superb swimming pool. We loved it here and would highly recommend it!

First time in this part of Spain. Travelled to Valencia airport instead of Alicante. Quiet airport even on Easter weekend. Hired car for a 1 half hour trip to Moraira on good expressways. The villa was well presented and clean throughout. Facilities were excellent (halogen hob, washing machine, hairdryer, satt. tv, dvd player, swimming pool with bbq and good patio area (in fact did not want for anything). Paichi, the local caretaker was excellent. Area itself is a good place to sight see the more rural parts and culture of Spain. Local markets, wineries etc. My 18 year old son had great fun at the nearby (1km) kart track and my teenager daughter enjoyed the horse riding (10km). Moraira itself is not overpowering and has a good cultural range of restaurants as well as nearby supermarkets. Overall, with an expat community you do not have to try too hard with the language (unless you want to of course). Definately recommended.
