“Sea of Cortez chill bliss at Casa Cactus”

We spent a spectacular four nights off the grid at Casa Cactus. Cheryl has created a beautiful oasis among the cactus full of birds, bunnies and breezes to cool you down. Our time was spent going to the beaches, hiking the nearby trails in the mornings and ensuring the margaritas were fit for consumption. Happy to report, all was well. We did breakfasts and the occasional evening meals in the well equipped, small outdoor kitchen. Or choose from the Restos in town, a short walk away. Come to Casa Cactus and enjoy if you are looking for a relaxing, quiet respite in the desert by the sea. Sloooooow down, you'll love it.

I sure enjoyed having you here and spending time with you both. Looking forward to keeping in touch and hopefully we will see each other soon again!! Karl, that cocktail you whipped up the last night while watching the sunset was 'killer'!!

“Mi Casa es Casa Cactus!”

I spent a wonderful week at Casa Cactus. The upstairs unit gave me marvelous views of both the mountains and the sea. The queen bed was super comfortable. There were screens on all the windows and the door so I fell asleep to the ocean waves and awakened with the song birds. The mini-outdoor kitchen was perfect for the simple meals I wanted to prepare. The property is beautiful and Cheryl welcomes you like an old friend. She has lovingly appointed each living space so you can really relax and not want for a thing. There are bath towels, beach towels, beach bags, beach chairs, some snorkel gear and great books. Just bring yourself. I can't wait to go back!

“LOVED IT”
Reviewed 23 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Cheryl was such a great host, so relaxing. Great hiking, biking, snorkeling and chilling. We loved cooking "en casa" and even hosted a little fiesta for our new friends from Casa Cactus! Go shopping in San Jose del Cabo, (Soriana has todo) and get plenty of fruits and veggies. Good restaurants in town also, short walk

“Exceeded our expectations”
Reviewed 19 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We stayed 6 nights in the lower Cactus Casa suite, so beautiful in all the open air surrounded by huge cacti and many birds. The full kitchen is well stocked as was the 'play room' lending toys for the ocean. Carmen is on sight and a pure delight to have around for any needs or questions.
We will treasure our memories of snorkeling in the clear waters, wandering the exotic beaches and hiking above town.

“Don't tell anyone!”
Reviewed 24 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

We'll be back! Enough said.

Not for folks who want "stuff to do," fancy restaurants or shopping.
No ATM's. No banks. No grocery stores. No TV's and minimal internet.
If you're looking for a delightfully remote and peaceful place to simply BE ... this is it! HEAVEN on earth!
The beaches we visited were lovely. Remote. No amenities. Few people. Somewhat windy in January but tolerable water temperature. Whale sightings!

Liked best: The remoteness, solitude and simplicity of the environs.
Liked least: The washboard dirt roads you need to travel might be a disincentive to some.
