Its important that you call and make a reservation for dinner. I was lucky to get a space. The food is delicious and fresh. I had chicken livers which had a kick to it was amazing. Main i had fish and chips it was to die for. The place is warm and entertaining. Old school because there is no wifi so that people talk to each other. So worth it.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. They even offered to make us the cocktails we wanted that wasn't on the menu we just had to give a recipe - amazing service. The menu also had a huge variety to choose from. The fish was a bit overdone but still tasty.

We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary at this lovely place. Wow they amazed us with their top quality service, great food and ambiance. I had the duck and compliments to the Chef who perfected this dish and serving a South African portion size, not a just an appetizer. The pizza my husband had also looked amazing. The well priced winelist and carrotcake for dessert completed our dinning experience. We loved the winter warming effect the fires had. Thank you Kiara and Trout and Mallard for this amazing dinning experience.

We ordered room service at Kiara Lodge, only two milkshakes and they were polite and quickly sent us the thickest tastiest milkshakes in town! Would order from them again, pricing on meals reasonable.

Service - good.
Only venue available on-site. Offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Shop has very limited stock and should not be relied upon. Clarens for some reason do cater for all needs, but do not try to buy any groceries. The only Chinese store has been arround for ages and seams to have the monopoly! Strange..! Thus buy your food before entering Clarens...
