This is a new art gallery and when I first walked in I was impressed at how well presented the work is.
After seeing the quality and presentation of local art I put my own work in. Not something I do lightly.
Only downside is the need for better signage outside. It is still not obviously an art gallery

What a fantastic community gallery that pulls together the history and future of the local area through the eyes of local artists and master waka carver, kaumatua Hector Busby. A gallery that provides you with access not only to the interpretations of local artisit but also connects you to local tourist attractions from picking pipis, waka tours to navigating the skies and sea. Has mirmiri (massage) and ta moko/ kirituhi also!
As a community gallery its also support social enterprise providing tourism education for students! Was currently having a cafe/ coffee stop installed as well. Looking forward to our next visit.

A gorgeous gallery with stunning Maori art and craft. It is peaceful and spacious with knowledgeable help if you are in need of it. This is authentic, not 'touristy'. Highly recommended.

This recently opened art, cultural centre is a beautiful and exhibits marvellous items produced by local Maori and other artists. For Maori kite or baskets, woodwork and jewellery. They also organise massage and tattoo. Well worth a visit.
