Review of Whaligoe Steps

Whaligoe Steps
Ranked #1 of 1 things to do in Whaligoe
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 17 July 2018

The entrance to the lane leading to Whaligoe Steps is easily missed from the main road and parking is very limited. The 365 steep steps lead down to a grassy area and a small harbour. A good head for heights and care needed when descending the steps especially if wet.

Google maps will help find it, it is opposite a sign to a cain parking for the steps is very limited as they are marked as residents parking spots, there are spaces by the cafe but the cafe is nothing to do with the steps it’s just in the same location ample parking about 1/2 across the road by the lock

A long way down but its spectacular at the bottom. The cove is one of the most beautiful places i've vistited in Scotland. Its a long way back up though.

Not much there. Lovely Cliff side and can see a waterfall just about and the birds nesting in the cliff. Then it’s the hike up loads of steps back up to the top.

Karen and John prepare unusual and delicious food, reasonably priced, in a cafe with the best view in Scotland.
