Our stay could not have been better!! The home, the towels, the sheets, the views, the animals, the hosts...everything was amazing!! We did take Anna’s advice, and stocked up on some food at the train station grocery (Waitrosse) because the house is quite far from “civilization”. Also, Anna was able to give me detailed instructions on traveling from London in the easiest and most cost effective way. We then got a taxi van from the train station to the house, and arranged with the driver to return us to the airport (Gatwick) a few days later. It all worked great!!
The setting is peaceful and relaxing, and the house is beautiful and comfortable. Anna and Johnny even gave us a ride into the neighboring town of Lewes, so we could have lunch and explore (and hit the grocery again)...I could have stayed there for a few days as well. What a charming place with lots of history!!
Our stay here came after spending time in London and Paris, and it was at the top of all of our lists! We really hope to return again!! Thank you so much to Anna and Johnny!
PS our son lost his new black Swatch watch somewhere along the way if you happen to find it :)
This is a very peaceful and comfortable location. The interior has just been completed and is of a very high standard, combining rustic charm with high-end features. The building is far enough away from the main residence to be private and the whole location wonderfully secluded at the end of a lane that passes through a farm. We used it as accommodation for a visit to Glyndebourne Opera House.
