Excellent all round, couldn't fault the food, service or the setting. Great experience and the perfect end to the day. Highly Reccomended!

I recently celebrated my 60th birthday here along with around 30 friends on a Winter Sunday for lunch. WE frequently eat here for special occasions because it is so special. We cannot rate the food - so fresh that it an explosion on the taste buds! The ambience and decor are fabulous! The staff are experienced and friendly - making every visit a special occasion! One very serious complaint I have however, is that it has ruined me for any other restaurant in the Waikato! If I want to be sure of a top notch experience I will choose The Falls Retreat every time!

We have driven this road so many times and never thought to stop but on this occasion I'm so pleased we did!
We arrived late (2pm'ish) and the place was bustling. We had pizza and drinks whilst the kids played on the playground. They have the cutest little bottles they serve the kids drinks in.
Such a great atmosphere, good food, little gift shop, peaceful surroundings.
I've been telling everyone about it!

The pasta was delicious, sadly the pizza was a little over cooked around the edges but we had great service and great location! Nice to eat there for lunch when cycling!

We booked an early dinner for two on a Friday following a day’s hike in Karangahake Gorge. We chose to sit inside and we practically had the place to ourselves with two other families joining later in the evening. The service from arrival to the end of dinner was friendly and attentive without being too intrusive. We ordered the seafood pizza with sambal and the vegetarian main (oyster mushroom tonkatsu). Both dishes were full of fresh, clean flavours which isn’t always a given when you eat out. The mushroom tonkatsu was so crisp and tender and the fish on the pizza was juicy! Portion wise we found it filling but I tend to be able to eat less than most so others may find they might need to order a side or starter to carb up a bit.
