Nice big & airy room with a porch with hammocks. Excellent hosts, an Italian-Colombian couple, serve tasty food & provide for tips (not in English). Cabaña Tucan is located in a nice garden 10 min from the village center. Therefore the only music at night are (sometimes) dogs & overambitious cocks. We only booked for 2 nights - in the end we stayed 4.
We loved this place! It’s a 10-15 min walk from town and for this reason it’s nice and quiet! It was such an improvement compared to busy Cartagena (first week of January was crazy busy there).
Our room was very clean and spacious. Alícia and Marco are the owners and they run this place with much love and attention; the whole house is nice and tidy, the food was very very tasteful and such a luxury that we did not have to go out and look for a place to eat. Also Marco and Alicia are very helpful with all questions you might have. It is even possible to do laundry here.
All in all a lovely chill place with super friendly hosts! Definitely recommend this place!!
We spent 3 nights at Cabaña Tucan. From the first moment we arrived we felt very warm welcomed. The very friendly host were taking so good care about us, provides us with lots of helpful information about Capurgana and let us feel like home.
The way to Cabaña Tucan is just a short and pleasant walk along the beach form the village. Our double room was very clean and the whole builing is well maintained and an overall charming construction surrounded by a beautiful green garden.
It makes it the perfect and peaceful place to stay in Capurgana.
As we visited during the low season many restaurants were closed. Marco, thanks for the lovely dinner with your super delicious homemade italian pasta! And thank you for the unforgettable time at Cabaña Tucan in Capurgana.
A 15 min walk along the beach from the village you will find this peaceful place hosted by Alicia and Marco. You can also go via the village on the streets. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens and you will be able to see all kinds of animals while having breakfast or dinner. I would definitely recommend to take the package with dinner, as the hosts are great chefs and you will for sure not get a better food in the village. Also the rooms are European basic standard and very clean. This was for sure the highlight of my 5 week stay in Colombia!
Capurgana might be quite difficult to reach, but it is definitively worth a stay. We had a huge, clean room with a large balcony - as if we were living in the trees - in a quiet neighborhood, two minutes from the sea. Marco and Alicia are great hosts and cooked delicious meals. Highly recommended.
