Even when the roses are not flowering the gardens are a peaceful venue for a picnic lunch especially near the fountain. They are beautiful when flowering with whole beds of mass plantings which are always presented in top condition. Adjacent to the gardens there is a bbq area & a little further on a great interactive playground which families flock to in the afternoons & weekends. A family friendly venue

Lovely well kept gardens. A pleasant place to walk in or just sit and people watch. You can even take your lunch there for a lovely place to sit.

We took a stroll around the gardens across from the tourist information centre. The rose garden was very well set out with each variety having its own garden bed. The roses were nearly at the end of their display period but were still fragrant and colourful.

Though not on the scale of nearby Hamilton Gardens, the rose garden in TA are a little gem. Immaculately kept, though obviously subject to seasonal changes. Worth a stop + include the charming Pioneer Walk adjacent to the garden if you've got time.

Wander through this beautiful, perfumed garden in gorgeous Te Awamutu and take in the many lovely roses, some rare, on display. The blooms are delightful and the beds so well tended and cared for. A source of pride to this lovely little town.
