Te Awamutu considers itself the rose capital of New Zealand, and this is why. There are probably 50 different types of roses, but 2500 in total. The plants are well cared for and healthy. The fountain in the center of the park adds to the attraction. As a rose lover (and grower), I would not have missed it!!
