The ferry over was a bit choppy so services were closed, but the return better weather. It was well run, left on time and a lovely way to approach the Island

Ruth W, The Foveaux Strait can be a choppy at times, but as you mention we run a timely service. We look forward to welcoming you back to the island in the future. Thanks for taking the time to post a review.

First of all Andreas was our guide. Andreas was an absolutely the nicest most informative guide we have ever experienced. We met Andreas at the visitor center for Real Journeys in Te Anau. Andreas was our guide and bus driver. He was perfect. A bit more focused on the Flora than the Fauna but extremely knowledgeable. He took us on a hike that opened my eyes to the birth of forests in southern NZ. Andreas put our perfect lunch together at the first hut and entertained us with his piano skills. What a showman! At the end of the track we were very satisfied with our selection for this guided tour. You only get one chance to visit NZ from the US, or at least most of us do, so you might as well call Real Journeys and ask for Andreas, you will not be disappointed.

cunclerich, Thank you so much for such a beautifully positive review about your Milford Track Guided Day Walk trip from Te Anau. The core part of this trip is the guide, who provides informative and knowledgeable commentary about the flora, fauna and history of the area as you walk the track. We will pass on your comments to Andreas. The Real Journeys Team

This trip by boat to the Glow Worm cave was very enjoyable. The boat is very large and comfortable, with a commentary along the way by a crew member.
The building that Real have is very comfortable and informative - free tea & coffee is offered. A talk is given by staff before entering the cave. The cave is lit along the way but there are times you are in darkness to be able to see the glow worms. The waterfall is so powerful and it is spectacular to be standing above so much water. The boat ride is in total darkness and the Glow worms are like stars in the night sky - absolutely beautiful. Our guide then walked us out and showed us an amazing part of the bush with a NZ native orchid. We loved the whole experience
