We stayed with here after our visit to Hobbiton. Set within the stunning scenery the Lodge is perfect for sunrise and sunset and we loved the vista.
On our arrival Ian gave us a tour of the farm, introducing us to the animals (cows, calfs, sheep, chicken, bees, and a pig), their pet dog Billie, and their vegetable and fruit garden. If available, try the Feijoa fruit .
Joy and Ian made us feel very welcome and our room with en suite was exquisite. The Lodge is a custom build to Joy and Ian's design, with detailed finishes and a warm, friendly and homely design. The dinner provided was delicious. With most of the food on offer grown on the farm or in their garden. Breakfast was provided at a time to suit us.
We would love to come back and stay longer next time.
