I'm sorry I didn't catch the owner's name but she was fabulous to deal with. At arrival, she was very friendly and welcoming. We were booked into the Hobbiton evening tour and banquet and she offered to drive us into town to catch the Hobbiton bus. The day we left we had a small car accident in the motel car park. The owner was very helpful and allowed us to use her phone and photocopier to sort it out.

The motel room was the most spotless room I've ever come across. It was immaculately clean. The room was a good size and had everything we needed including free wifi and a comfy bed.

Very much enjoyed our stay. One Bedroom Unit was great with undercover parking. Plenty of space to spread out.
The unit was very clean with the 1960s décor making very quaint.
The bed was comfortable and room was very warm. Did have a little truck noise during the night.
Owner was very friendly and helpful with information about places to eat in town. The Italian that was recommended was great.
Would definitely stay here again.

The Tower Road Motel was a great place to stay on our way south from Auckland! The owners were very friend;y and helpful and the rooms were small but clean and great value for money. Only a short drive into town to restaurants or the i-Site.

This is a visit back to the 60's. The motel rooms are lovingly and meticulously maintained as are the grounds. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The facilities are good and the location is quiet at night being just out of town. Easy walk into town on a well used fitness walk. Highly recommend.

Hello John thankyou for choosing Tower Road Motel for your stay and thankyou for your review, it is a very wet day here in Matamata today so not nice at all, you are right about the "fitness walk" so many people either walk/run on this walkway, an every year the Matamata people even have a competition on who is the quickest to do this walkway!Regards Karen
