Good for a photo stop but bring your own L&P. I don't mind a L&P so I enjoyed the stop but maybe not worth it for everyone. Some beautiful countryside to drive through but probably not worth a detour to get there.

I love good old L and P and this is a good place for a photo snap. It is a shame it is not maintained though as the graffiti ruined the overall look. Sure people will say it is only a bottle advertising a sugar drink, but those people have no idea what this drink means to kiwis. An absolute icon!

I saw this bottle standing in a car park over a year ago and maybe I was a bit harsh with my review. I do realise that there is some history attached to this bottle and the town but it isn’t even made there anymore! The number of people who smile when they see this tired looking bottle makes it worth it being there.

Of you're in the area you have to stop at the giant L&P bottle at least once, it's an iconic Kiwi beverage so you won't find one anywhere else!

Good for a photo stop adjacent to the riverban. Parking adjacent. A must stop in Paeroa for a kiwiana pic.
