National icon that most kiwis in the North Island have driven by or stopped for that obligatory photo op.

While the place is nicely kept and the public toilets there are decent the locals don't share the same love that the tourists do. It's now an inconvenience and sad reminder of yet another great product that was swallowed up by Coca-Cola Amatil. And no it would not slow or stop tourist traffic through Paeroa if it were not there, Paeroa is an important tourist Hub not far from many awesome destinations.

Something you just have to do, its part of NZ. Lots of parking, and toilets there too. There are information posts all around which tell the unique story, very kiwiana.

If you are in the area definitely stop by perfect photo op with a bit of NZ history. Easy parking and could even have a picnic on the park next door

A must visit place for any L&P fan. Awesome!

There isn't much parking and this is a popular spot, or was when we visited.
