I thought this hotel was an excellent base for visting the American Cemetery, Omaha Beach, and my namesake town of Colleville-sur-mer. The room we had was very charming and good condition. Looked like the wood floors were fairly new. Wicker furniture.

1 KM distance from American Cemetery. Overlord Museum is across the round-a-bout. Big Red 1 Museum is 1 KM in the town. St Laurent is 3 km. This is the place tour buses take you for visit to "Omaha Beach" which I found underwhelming. Better to spend time at the German strong point overlooking Colleville-sur-mar beach across from the American Cemetery.

Breakfast included scrambled eggs, and hot ham slices in addition to croissants, etc. The creperie and grill (see pictures) open at noon for lunch and are not open for dinner. We did not eat at either of these because we were out sightseeing all day. For dinner you'll need to go to nearby Port-en-Bessin-Huppain where there are many good places to eat.

We did lose our internet connection one night, reason unknown. And when I made the reservation, there was no confirmation until I emailed and requested one.

If you’re on your way back from the American cemetery and Omaha Beach than you need to stop in and get one many excellent crepes and great coffee!! They have a big selection of crepes, something for everyone and the atmosphere is laid back and friendly.

On our journey through France we stayed one night here (03/12), while visiting the Normandy beach areas.
Check-in was quick, easy and very pleasant, we were shown our room (#2) and explained how the doors worked after hours. The room was very large and well appointed. Price for the room was €55/night and breakfast was an additional €6,50/person, served 0800 - 1000. There was a nice selection for breakfast.
This hotel is conveniently close to everything near Omaha Beach. The American Cemetery is a short 10-minute walk away, Omaha beach is a 5-minute drive and numerous other museums are located close by.
Highly recommend this hotel if in need of accommodations while in the Omaha beach area.

As part of our tour package from our Paris hotel, we stopped here for a very good country lunch. My wife and I enjoyed their baked ham in cider sauce with a very pleasant glass of wine. Staff was quite friendly and very prompt with the service. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.
There is excellent courtyard seating, but it was raining that day and we had to dine indoors.

We had lunch here after attending the Memorial Day observances at the Normandy American Cemetery. It is very convenient to the cemetery and has plenty of parking. they have a lovely garden with outside seating where we had salad, barbecued chicken and French fries. The Texans among us complained about the quality of the barbecue, but if you think of it as a French variation, it was just fine. The French fries were great!
